Jaquane + Ariel: A WRAL Azalea Gardens Engagement Session

This weekend, is Jaquane and Ariel’s wedding weekend, so I’m extra excited to share today’s blog post with all of you. Jaquane first reached out to me in February of this year when he told me that he planned to propose to his girlfriend Ariel. I was so excited because Jaquane is a friend from church, and I was excited to see him walk into this new chapter of his relationship with Ariel.

Jaquane and Ariel met online after finding they had mutual friends. They realized that they shared a love for the Lord, which became a cornerstone in their relationship. Jaquane and Ariel attended the small group Bible study my husband facilitates. They’d been in a long-distance relationship for over a year, and he was planning to propose when she relocated from the Bahamas to the States in April. The tricky thing was that he told me that he was terrible at keeping secrets from her! …Which is a good quality to have in a husband, but it makes a surprise proposal a little more difficult. We planned out the details unbeknownst to her, but just weeks before it was supposed to happen, Jaquane spilled the beans! So, it wasn’t a surprise, but on a Sunday afternoon in April, he got down on one knee and asked Ariel to be his partner in life forever.
